Today’s menu: Waffling

Am I the only mom who waffles more than IHOP? I have a feeling the answer is no, but I had to ask.
Because there are days when Stella and I are in a groove, the house is cluttered but not too messy, we have an deeeeelightful outing to Gymboree or the library, Stella sets a [...]

Tree’s up!

And we only broke one ornament so far. Stella tried to put ornaments on the tree, even getting the right grip on the hook, but then would just turn and hand the ornament to me, as if to say, “Oh you know what you’re doing, why don’t you take care of this for me?”

She not only uses the more sign (that’s old hat) but she says “more”, with the inflection of a question, while she does it.
She’s starting to string words together. Stella says, “Thank you!” a lot. We were at the park [...]

Goodbye, breastfeeding guilt.

I destroyed the structural integrity of my boobs–what little there was–with an expensive, rented hospital grade breast pump in order to collect 500 ounces of milk that Stella would never drink. It sucked in every way.
Worse was the guilt and anxiety. None of it made any sense, but thankfully, it’s over. I was not able [...]
